Client Strategist

Job Type: Full Time

Job Description
VISISEEK is a fast growing internet marketing agency located in La Jolla, CA and is looking for a motivated individual to join our team as a full time Client Strategist. In this position, you will communicate with clients about their business requirements and translate those into strategies to be implemented by the internet marketing production team. You will serve as the point of contact for the clients when they would like changes or updates to their marketing programs and will communicate these changes to production. You will be responsible for communicating results back to clients and keeping them up to date with what we are working on. You will manage the Project Management software and use it to input and assign tasks to staff as well as making sure that we stay within scope on projects.

We are looking for a person that is an excellent communicator, ideally with an understanding of the agency business. The ideal candidate will have excellent writing and phone skills as well as a strong understanding of current and future trends in internet marketing technology. We are looking for someone with a knack for taking complex internet marketing concepts and translating them into clear, concise communication.

Major Job Responsibilities
  • Learn about clients businesses to the point that you become an extension of their marketing department.
  • Stay up to date on all technology the agency offers so you can appropriately match our capabilities to clients business requirements.
  • Actively communicate with clients to keep them up to date on progress.
  • Consult with clients on new ideas and translate them into actionable internet marketing plans.
  • Translate clients plans into action items with defined scope and pass those items on to the appropriate VISISEEK department directors (SEO, Social Media / PR, Media Buying, Web Design).
  • Compile reporting from department directors and present the reports to the clients each month, explaining the results that we are seeing and our trajectory for the next month.
  • Organize and run meetings with department directors to define client strategies.
Skills / Requirements
  • Previous account management, sales or customer service experience in a B2B client facing role, ideally involving technology or software.
  • Working knowledge of how SEO, Social Media Marketing, Online PR, Media Buying (Google AdWords / Display Advertising / Facebook ads), Web Design can be used to increase sales and/or leads on websites.
  • Experience working efficiently in a team environment using online collaboration tools
  • Some management experience with direct reports preferred
  • Enthusiasm, passion and commitment to the company and client goals
  • A superior work ethic and time management ability; self-starter
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher preferred
  • Excellent communication skills over phone and email
  • Exceptional writing skills; strong vocabulary
  • Strong data analysis & interpretation skills
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics
  • Experience with WordPress and/or Magento is a plus
  • Drive to pursue continuing education in the field
